Teachers in Norcross Georgia assigned math homework for elementary school children that had them figuring out how many oranges slaves could pick and how many beatings Frederick Douglas would receive.
Some of the children were assigned the work as homework instead of doing it in class.
Parents were very upset (duh!) when they read the assignment and complained to the school.
The schools response?
“We’ve been working with human resources to determine what staff development is needed for the teachers and what actions may be warranted,”
Maybe a procedure that removes the cranium from the rectum would be in order?

About time!
Georgians have removed a statue of Stalin from a square in his home town of Gori which was hard hit during the recent criminal Russian military action.
The removal occurred in the middle of the night without any announcement and reporters were kept away (even reportedly beaten).
I disagree with the sneaking, middle-of-the-night method used in this removal but at least they did the deed.
The statue is to be moved to a museum in the same town.
If the statue is to be totally removed at some future date they can send it to Berkeley, CA where it will be received with open arms.

Carter's Grandson Elected in Georgia
Jimmy Carter (formerly known as the worst president in living memory) has lived to see a relative get elected to the Georgian State Senate as a Democrat.
Jimmy's celebration may have been more joyous if it was not for the fact of his Grandson taking obvious pains to not remind the voters of who his grandfather is.
Jason Carter did allow Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter to attend some of the last events he was involved in with only two days left before the election.
Jimmy Carter still commands a modicum of respect and admiration in his neck of the woods (maybe they haven't paid attention to what he has been doing since he was a poor president).

Senior Citizens can't pray?
Georgian Senior Citizens have been told that they cannot pray before their meals at a center that takes Government money.
Actually, they have been told that they cannot pray out loud, but it is pretty much the same thing.
Port Wentworth's Ed Young Senior Citizens Center is required to follow federal guidelines because it is taking taxpayer dollars that have strings attached (one more reason not to filter your money through DC).
I think this is a great place to start a movement against the 'No God' crowd.
As one woman put it: "You can stop me from speaking, but you can't stop me from praying what's in my heart!"
I think she should pray out loud to resist this stupidity.
If people start praying audibly in government buildings, what are they going to do?
If they force them to leave or arrest them, they look like evil goons.

Another Two Allies Snubbed
From Rick Moran at American Thinker.
It isn't enough that Obama is an enemy of Israel, he is on a "snubbing tour" to compliment his "apology tour".
President Obama did not invite Georgina President Saakashvili to his nuke summit.
"Bowing" to Vladimir (AKA Dobie the House Elf) Putin and President Medyedev, Obama included Georgia's neighbors (who are on friendly terms with Russia), but only gave Georgia's President a phone call.
I am sure leaders in the region won't miss the message of non-support for any that resist Russian "adventures".
As if that wasn't enough, Obama also lectured Canada's Harper (and got a great picture for his scrap book).
