Chavez had surgery?

Apparently, Hugo "El Diablo" Chavez had surgery for a 'pelvic abcess' in Cuba and is recovering.
Spokespeople claim he will be back in Venezuela in about 12 days.

All this time I thought Hugo was just a giant pus-ball and it turns out that he had one in his fat gut.

Once again, we have to learn this from foreign media because our news people don't think we need to know when a Communist dictator is closer to death.

Iran is helping Venezuela to build medium range ballistic missile (MRBM) launchers.
MRBMs have a range of less than 3500 miles.
Iranian MRBMs have a range that would make it difficult for them to strike American targets, but they could easily be used against Colombia, which is a lot more friendly with American than Venezuela.

This should be front page news!
There is no justification for missile bases in Venezuela other than Venezuelan aggression.
They aren't at war with anyone and Hugo Chavez' rhetoric about America planning to invade and conquer is not credible.
If JFK were the president (or just about any Republican), there would be great efforts to stop this just like JFK stopped the Cubans.

While the Obama administration sues Arizona for trying to do the job the feds refuse to do, our neighbors in Mexico have rolled up a terrorist network being set up right across the border from California.
So we have Liberal druggies (yes, conservatives too) financing the narcos, who are chummy with Hugo Chavez, who is chummy with the terrorists, who are set on infiltrating us to wreak havoc so they can dance in the streets of the middle east while our economy sinks to greater depths.
I "hope" things "change" before they succeed.

Chavez grabs more rigs

"Hurricane" Hugo Chavez is nationalizing idle oil rigs owned by American companies.
He is doing this in part to gin up support for upcoming elections and as payback for the oil companies resistance to outrageous demands for control and payment.
Rumor has it that the rigs have been disabled in a manner only repairable by the experts Chavez has booted during his takeovers.

Maybe we could "Nationalize" Venezuela.
I bet lots of Venezuelans would love to help us build a real sturdy border fence in exchange for citizenship.

Hugo Chavez seizes more food to replace what he let rot

Hugo (El Diablo) Chavez is still trying very hard to run Venezuela into the ground.
After taking over more than 30% of the food market in order to provide deeply discounted food to supporters and shield them from the effects of inflation caused by government actions, the government allowed much food to rot before distribution.
Claiming that remaining food stocks in the hands of private vendors was going to be sold for illegally high prices, the government seized food in recent raids.
Some of those raided believe that the real aim is to replace food in government warehouses that was allowed to spoil.
Venezuela imports 70% of their food and has an abundance of oil.

Let them eat oil.

Hugo's U-Boat?

A mystery periscope was spotted off Florida's coast.
The Navy has not yet commented on the sighting.
I'm thinking conspiracy theory here because Hugo was to buy some Kilo class Russian subs and we had an oil well blow up.
