Iranian Ex-Revolutionary Guard leader visits White House

Hadi al-Amri, ex-leader in Iran's Revolutionary Guard visited the White House with Iraqi President Nouri al-Malaki.
al-Amri worked against Saddam Hussein while he was in power and most certainly knows of links between terrorist acts against American interests and Iran's leadership.
While not as bad as having the leaders of Hezbollah or Hamas over for dinner, this is not something that an American President should allow.
 
Better to have this man sit down with people from the CIA for a "friendly chat".

I wonder. Did he have to exit where the garbage cans are like the Dalai Lama?

Mission not accomplished

After Bush made his mistaken "Mission Accomplished" landing on an aircraft carrier, the leftist media hounded him whenever soldiers were involved in combat and more so when they were killed.
Obama made a point of not saying mission accomplished when he announced the end of combat operations in Iraq.
Does that give him a pass when US soldiers are involved in combat or killed in Iraq?
No.
But the press will apply very little energy or pressure in reporting the first or any subsequent battles involving our troops because they are still in the tank for "The One".

Iraq wants what?

From the American Thinker:
Saddam  Hussein  stole many Torahs and Haggadahs from one of the oldest Jewish diaspora communities.
American military units recovered many of these stolen items from Saddam's palaces and held them in trust.
Now Iraq is demanding them back as part of their heritage?
How many Jews are still in Iraq?
Shouldn't they or Israel get these religious artifacts?
I think the Iraqi government needs to rethink this one.

Navy Seal found not guilty

Great news!
The first of three unnecessary court martials is over and the first of three Navy Seals has been found not guilty.
Petty Officer Julio Huertas and two other Navy SEALs -- Petty Officer 2nd Class Jonathan Keefe and Petty Officer 2nd Class Matthew McCabe -- have been facing charges in connection with the assault of Iraqi detainee Ahmed Hashim Abed.
Abed testified that he could not see who struck him but a McCabe is charged with the actual assault.
The stark difference between killing, burning, dragging through the streets, and hanging the bodies of US contractors and a few punches and kicks has many people extremely upset that these men are even being tried.
The bright side is that, if they are all found innocent, they will hopefully be able to put this behind them unless the administration allows some world court power over our soldiers.
