Iranian Ex-Revolutionary Guard leader visits White House

Hadi al-Amri, ex-leader in Iran's Revolutionary Guard visited the White House with Iraqi President Nouri al-Malaki.
al-Amri worked against Saddam Hussein while he was in power and most certainly knows of links between terrorist acts against American interests and Iran's leadership.
While not as bad as having the leaders of Hezbollah or Hamas over for dinner, this is not something that an American President should allow.

Better to have this man sit down with people from the CIA for a "friendly chat".

I wonder. Did he have to exit where the garbage cans are like the Dalai Lama?

Iran nuke program having problems

First the Iranian President admitted that the stuxnet virus actually did "some" harm to their centrifuges (translation: A lot of harm), then they had two of their nuke scientists attacked by bombers on motorcycles.
One of the scientists has died.
Iran has predictably blamed Israel and made the typically ridiculous statements about their "patience" being limited and warning of extreme reprisals.

Iran "meddling" in Afghanistan

Iran is famous for pointing their crooked little fingers at others and claim they are meddling in other countries' business.
People that pay attention know it is Iran that is behind most of the "meddling" in the middle east.
Now they have been caught again.
A shipment marked as food, clothing, and toys was found to contain 22 tons of explosives.
The shipment was likely due to be delivered to the Taliban.

I wish the Iranian people would just remove the Theocracy and take their country back.
In the good old days, we would be supplying them with weapons instead of their government supplying our enemies.

Terror pipeline from Tehran to Caracas

There is a regular flight from Tehran, Iran to Caracas, Venezuela via Damascus and sometimes Lebanon.
You cannot book a seat, ever.
Twice monthly, this mysterious 747 travels back and forth.
No one seems to know who and/or what the flight carries and, considering how Iran and Venezuela feel about the USA, it is something we should all be worried about.
We already have our suspicions about terror cells infiltrating the US through our porous southern border and it is no stretch to see them coming from Venezuela.
There are even suspicions that uranium may be taking the return trip from South America to aid Iran's weapons program.

Assassins miss killing Iranian President

Iran's President has survived an assassination attempt by what appears to be an internal opposition group.
A bomb was thrown at his motorcade and damaged a car carrying journalists, injuring several.
No one else was injured and one person has been arrested.
Iran is blaming Israel, which is a joke.
Israel would have hired better help and we would have provided better training.
Better luck next time, I hope.

Update: Iran is now claiming it was just a firecracker.

Iranian test run?

A Japanese oil tanker in the Persian Gulf experienced an "explosion" and crewmen claim to have seen a flash on the horizon before the explosion.
It isn't a stretch to believe that this is a test run by the Iranians.

Unbelievable! Saudi clearance for Israel to hit Iran

Saudi Arabia has tested its air defense response network to insure that Israeli planes can pass safely over their territory to attack Iranian nuclear sites.
The tests were to insure that systems and procedures would not scramble after Israeli jets after official clearance was given and the system was selectively shut down.
An American defense source claims the Saudis have provided permission and Saudi sources confirm that they basically will look the other way when Israel launches an attack.
It is common knowledge in defense circles that the Saudis, despite tensions with Israel, have no love for the Iranian regime and would shed no tears if their offensive capabilities are cut down to a more manageable size.

Ahmadinejad Heckled at Speech

The Iranians are getting restless!
In a rare show of discontent, people in the crowd during a speech given in the southern port city of Korramshahr shouted repeatedly that they wanted jobs.
With 25% unemployment, I guess they have more reason to be pissed at their president than we do.

Syria supplying missiles to Hezbollah

For those of you that were too busy living your lives, watching reality TV, or waiting for the next i-? from Apple; Hezbollah has been building up its weapons stocks for another devastating attack on Israel.
Syria is one of the major middlemen and supplier of heavier weapons (including missiles) to Hezbollah (they are still mad that Israel blew up their nuke facility).
Iran is the source for training and many of the weapons transshipped through Syria as well as many of the weapons used in Iraq by "insurgents".

Combine this with Obama's continued disrespect of Israeli leaders and attacks on their sovereignty and you can see a nasty summer coming for Israelis.
I wonder if Obama bowed to Assad when he met him?

Iranian Military training in Venezuela?

According to a story in the American Thinker, Iran's Qods forces are active all over the world; including training camps in Hugo Chavez' Venezuela.
If we were training Iraqis known to be active in insurgent operations against Iran, there would be hell to pay in the press but this story will be buried by the MSM.
