How many did we miss?

A radical Muslim cleric was caught in the trunk of a Mexican vehicle attempting to enter the US.
43 year old Said Jaziri has called for the death of a Danish cartoonist for mocking the prophet Mohamed and claims that Homosexuality is a disease.
He was deported from Canada in 2007 and claimed that he was mistreated on the way back to Tunisia.
It is a little confusing that the article claims he was in a car, but also states he walked across the border.
More confusing is why he would want to come to California if he is a Homophobe.
Maybe he was coming out of the closet.

So, how many Muslim Clerics made it across already?

Congressional hearings put into perspective

When a comedian appears before a congressional committee concerning illegal immigration and farm workers at the invitation of the hearing's chair, we can say that the process has become a mockery.
Such was the case when Steven Colbert was invited by Zoe Lofgren (D) to expound on his "vast" knowledge of the subject after spending one whole day on a California farm.
Representative John Conyers (D) asked Mr. Colbert to leave before he began his remarks, and Colbert replied that he had an invitation and would only leave at the behest of Ms. Lofgren.

And they wonder why we don't take them seriously (except for their proclivity for tax increases and regulation).

Now it's the Chinese

Chinese "immigrants" caught crossing our southern border into Arizona have increased in number.
The numbers caught are not too scary at 281 between October and the end of December of 2009, but the previous fiscal year had a total of 332.
That is an increase that may wind up being 5 times or more of the previous average.
Why worry?
China is building up it's military and has never been shy when it comes to spying on us.

How many government backed Chinese agents do we have in the country now and what are they up to?

22 States leaning towards AZ type law

All I can say is: "Way To Go!"
If things proceed as they should, more than half the States will be challenging the Federal government over its inaction on the illegal invasion of our nation by enacting their own laws to curb illegal immigration.

"Unexpected" spike in driver's license demand

The 3 states, 2 next to Arizona that are not demanding a birth certificate for drivers license applications have seen a spike in applicants.
Utah, New Mexico, and Washington have seen a great increase in applications as people leave Arizona, or seek ID that may deflect police attention if they are pulled over or stopped.
In some states, the applications have nearly doubled and the argument against easing license requirements because they will attract illegals seem to be supported by this activity.
In New Mexico, even the Democrat running for Governor is calling for greater restrictions to prevent illegals from gaining a drivers license.

This new migration and the load it will place on already cash strapped states will likely lead to more changes in those states to restrict the freedoms of illegals and, ultimately, push them out.

ICE employees unhappy with pro-amnesty leadership

Say what you want about public employee unions and civil servants in general, they are still mostly just folks like the rest of us.
Especially when it comes to things they see as dangerous to the country and their families.
Phil Boehmke at the American Thinker tells us that: "The National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council cast a unanimous vote of no confidence in ICE Director John Morton and Assistant Director Phyllis Coven, on behalf of their 7,000 ICE agents and employees from the department's Office of Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO)."
ICE agents are apparently sick and tired of not being able to effectively deal with the illegal invasion of our country just to allow political hacks to enlarge the Democrat base.

Anti-Illegals group calls on government to make it easy for illegals to leave

Because of the economic woes we are suffering and the new law in Arizona, illegal immigrants are showing how shallow their roots are by immigrating back to Mexico.
Americans for Legal Immigration PAC is using the same type of argument that the defenders of these criminals use to pressure the government to help them leave our country.
They say that it is the responsibility of the government to provide places on the border with safe, easy passage for illegals to leave.
The response of their opponents is telling.
They can only say that they are suspicious and believe that this is part of an organized effort to make things "horrible" for immigrants to rid us of them by attrition.

"We" didn't make things horrible; the Democrats did (with some help from Republicans).

Amnesty not working for Spain

Spain has an illegal immigrant problem.
One of their "solutions" is to grant amnesty to the illegals.
Now the foreigners represent about 10% of the population and the Spanish natives are unhappy with the newcomers.
The rest of Europe is less than happy with the possibility of these new citizens freely moving to their part of the EU.
Add to this the "pull effect" of amnesty encouraging more illegals and it is no wonder that Spain is in such big trouble.

Is it just me or do you enjoy hearing about Spain having an illegal immigration problem?
After all, our illegal immigration problem is mostly caused by Spain's exports to the Americas.
