An eleventh hour change in candidates for a federal judgeship seems to be going the way of Sen. Charles (Chuck You) Schumer's Brother in law.
In the New York Post article (which plays 'guess which party'), the bad actors all claim there were no shenanigans.
This scandal will not be important enough for the alphabet news networks or major news outlets to flog (like they would if it was a bunch of Republicans).

If we lay off cops we get less service, right?
In an era where cops and firemen are threatened by politicians in order to guilt us into paying higher taxes and first responders are actually getting laid off, we are led to expect lower levels of service.
The belief is that small crimes will be ignored in order to spend resources on more important work.
So why are New Jersey cops on the docks in Bayonne spending time and money on a crime that is very small potatoes and apparently solved?

Blame it on BP
"Tens of thousands of fish" washed up dead on New Jersey beaches in Delaware Bay.
Officials are investigating, but have not yet determined a reason for the deaths.
They note that the fish are all the same species (small menhaden) and have preliminarily eliminated toxins in the water as a cause.
I think it must be BP's fault (only because it would be too hard to blame Bush).

Ironic Murder
Marlon Rochester and Robert Godfrey both attended a New Jersey anti-violence event.
The event was part of National Night Out, which aims to heighten awareness of drug and crime prevention.
The two men were seen arguing before Rochester pulled a gun out and shot Godfrey to death.
I guess we need to start frisking or wanding people at peace rallies now.
Can't we just get along?

Congratulations to New Jersey!
New Jersey voters rejected union backed budgets all over the state.
At a little over 50% the rejection is not as good as it can be, but an improvement over past acceptance of budget and tax increases.
This was, in part, due to the Governor's call to reject any budget that does not include teachers agreements to freeze their pay.
