Chuck You Schumer's Bro-In-Law gets nod for judgeship

An eleventh hour change in candidates for a federal judgeship seems to be going the way of Sen. Charles (Chuck You) Schumer's Brother in law.
In the New York Post article (which plays 'guess which party'), the bad actors all claim there were no shenanigans.

This scandal will not be important enough for the alphabet news networks or major news outlets to flog (like they would if it was a bunch of Republicans).

Weiner has no fallback option

Anthony Weiner (famous for sending salacious pics of himself to young women) has been facing increasing pressure to resign.
As more (and more 'adult') pictures and facts about Weiner are 'exposed' his defenders are dropping like flies.
It is so bad that the press can only try to help him by drumming up sympathy by telling us how badly off he will be if he leaves office now.
Apparently, Anthony 'Tony the Weener' Weiner has no useful college degrees or skills and there is no market for unelected grand-standers out there.
If he is so close to the edge financially, why take such risks?
Obviously he has issues and needs to leave office until he deals with them.

Google links to White House would be bad news if Bush were Prez

Google's close ties to the White House are apparently at a level that not only clearly breaks ethics rules, but would be front page headline news for weeks if Bush were the president.
White House Deputy Chief Technology Officer Andrew McLaughlin is supposed to be barred from even being in his position since he is a former Google lobbyist.
Add to that his communications with current Google lobbyists and avoidance of official email channels in an apparent attempt to avoid federal record keeping regulations and you have a huge scandal (if they president was not a Democrat).

Sumo scandal over Pete Rose style gambling

The world of Sumo is in a big, fat turmoil over a big betting scandal that has come to light.
30% of the top tier of wrestlers and elders (some on the Japan Sumo Association board) are being scrutinized for allegedly betting big bucks on sports (primarily baseball).
Sumo was just starting to recover from a hazing incident that ended with the death of a 17 year old and the current scandal is feared to harm it's reputation in ways that may not be repairable.
Worst of all is the revelation that the sport has become deeply involved with the yakuza.
Who didn't see that coming?
