Fake fishermen claiming BP payments?

Say it ain't so, Joe!
Applications for commercial fishing licenses have increase 60% in the Gulf.
In a time where you can't fish or can't sell your catch, why would someone want to become a commercial fisherman?
Simple; with a valid license, you can claim loss of income and get BP to pay you big bucks.
In addition to the license increase, fishing captains have claimed that multiple individuals have approached them with offers of cash if they sign documentation claiming the men worked for them as fishermen.
BP claims that while this may have occurred in the beginning, they have set up verification procedures to weed out the fakes.
Right, sure; we believe you.

If you didn't see this one coming, you must be a Democrat.

Blame it on BP

"Tens of thousands of fish" washed up dead on New Jersey beaches in Delaware Bay.
Officials are investigating, but have not yet determined a reason for the deaths.
They note that the fish are all the same species (small menhaden) and have preliminarily eliminated toxins in the water as a cause.

I think it must be BP's fault (only because it would be too hard to blame Bush).

Will Natalie Maines apologize for Obama?

The Brits have had enough of Obama's juvenile behavior and misplaced blame.
The mayor of London for one has asked that he stop doing so much to depress the price of BP stock because it hurts British pensioners (I wonder if they ever worried about that when they bashed this corporation or that, themselves).
Well, I have to agree with them.
O-blame-a needs to get off his high horse and stop doing all those things he told the kiddies they should not do.
After her heartfelt apology for, then to George Bush after telling a British audience she was ashamed he was from her home state of Texas, Natalie Maines may be the perfect pick to apologize to the Brits for Obama's behavior.

BTW; she took back her apology to Bush, saying he deserved "no respect whatsoever"

Jesse Jackson Tries Screwing his Peeps (again)

Jesse Jackson is (predictably) trying to gin up support for a boycott against BP.
Once again, Jesse the race baiter, Jesse the hater, Jesse the bloated tick (as one commenter so aptly put it) is getting it all wrong and probably making money off it.
If BP stations are boycotted, only the franchise owners will suffer.
If the company is truly harmed, they will not be as effective in cleaning up their mess or being safer in the future.

So what does Jesse (the defender of the hard working American "little guy") say about the people who will lose their jobs because of him?: "There's gonna be tension between sacrifice and jobs," Jackson said. "In the meantime, we cannot stand idly by and allow those workers to stand between us and the right to breathe free, the right for fish to live, the right for wildlife to live." 
Somehow, I suspect if asked how he feels about the shrimpers in the gulf losing work, he will state that no one should be out of work because of the greedy oil company.

I blame BP

A tropical storm has killed more than 100 people in South America. Obviously this large sink hole is due to the oil leak in the gulf.

Numbers game over oil leak

Environmentalists and scientists are disputing BP's estimates of the amount of oil leaking from their well in the Gulf. They claim that methods used in determining flow rates from sea floor vents that employ ultrasonic devices.
BP insists that there is no way to accurately measure the flow.

Funny how hard they push for true scientific examination utilizing the best and latest methods when it comes to skewering an oil company, but no scrutiny of data or methodology is allowed when it comes to the myth of global warming.

Obama Bought by BP?

Obama is the top recipient of campaign contributions from BP, its employees and PACs even though Illinois is not an oil state.
Mary Landrieu who is from an oil state also got money from BP and environmentalists are attacking her as being paid off.
The evil greedy corporations are allowed to buy Liberal politicians with only a murmur of dissent from the press?
At least the enviro-wackos are calling them out (somewhat quietly).

BP got a pass from the administration

While Barack Obama was pushing Healthcare, adding CO2 to the list of pollutants, dissing our friends and bowing to enemies; his administration rubber stamped BP's drilling operation in the gulf.
BP should have been subject to a detailed environmental impact examination and analysis, but was given a pass after both BP and the Interior department decided the worst case scenario would have involved only a few thousand gallons of crude.

Once again; say it with me: "If it were Bush, they would be screaming!"

Gibbs Issues Mega Whine

Oh my goodness!
The White House press secretary has an amazingly thin skin and no idea of what it is like to be a conservative politician or spokesperson.
Mr. Gibbs gets testy with Wendell Goler of Fox News over an interview with Mike (Katrina) Brown, former head of FEMA.
How many times have we had to watch and/or listen to anti-conservative people interviewed by the leftist media and lie badly without "pushback" or later correction?

Why not give them an award?

BP was in the running for a safety award offered by the Feds.
The winner was already chosen before the oil rig accident, and the ceremony is being "postponed" and the interior department claims ignorance of the winner.
I say that if Obama can get the Nobel for something he hasn't done, BP can get a safety award for actually being safe (up to the day of the explosion).
