Bibi gets support from the House

Both sides of the aisle in the House showed strong support for Benjamin Netanyahu when he spoke before Congress.
In doing so, they came down solidly against the administration's ridiculous call to shrink their borders to those that existed in 1967.
Robert Andrews (D, New Jersey) even stated that the president was "tilting toward Hamas" in his demands.
Even 'Dingy' Harry Reid and Steny Hoyer sided against the president, who has been doing some back pedaling since he has seen and heard the reactions against his speech.

It's too bad this and all his other huge mistakes will be conveniently ignored when he runs for re-election.

Message received if not understood

Israeli political commentators are shocked at what they call Obama's "betrayal" of Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak.
Benjamin Netanyahu has urged his government to refrain from commenting on the situation, lest they add fuel to the fire now burning a path through the middle east, but many outside the government are making their shock and anger known.
The Israelis understand just how damning Obama's comments have been and how everything coming from his administration supports the rioters, not Mubarak.

Nice of them to finally "get it" that Obama is absolutely no friend of Israel.
Actually the Israeli government already knew this; they just didn't understand the depth of his animus towards them.

One reason why Israel is a true ally

Israel's right wing has formed it's own TEA party, complete with "Say no to Obama!" rallies.
The new party, which includes current and former members of Benjamen Netanyahu's Likud party compares Obama's treatment of Israel to the treatment endured by Americans under King George prior to the American revolution.
He is telling them to do things they believe are dangerous to their security interests and they have had enough.

More idiots try to run Gaza blockade

More people tried to run the Gaza blockade that Israel set up to prevent weapons smuggling that would resupply terrorists with rockets and explosives.
The catamaran carrying "activists" who must be completely ignorant of the lack of restrictions on food and medicine flowing legally into the Palestinian territory, allowed Israeli forces to board their boat and route it to the required inspection point.
The new wrinkle in this act of ignorance is that the activists include Jews, one of them a former fighter pilot, that wanted the world to know that not all Jews support the blockade.

Israel has not stopped the flow of goods to Gaza.
They have only required inspection prior to delivery.
If there are any shortages in the Palestinian territories, it is due to Hamas and Fatah, not the Israelis.

The next Israeli conflict may start over one Cypress tree

Israelis tried to prune a Cypress tree in their territory near the Lebanese border.
In the resulting attack by the Lebanese army, 5 people died, including a high ranking Israeli officer and a Lebanese journalist.
The UN (UNIFIL) people in the area back the Israeli contention that the tree was clearly on their side of the border and the attack was unwarranted, but that doesn't matter to Hezbollah.
The one factor that may excuse Lebanon for claiming the tree is that the "border" fence is not on the official border so the Israeli performing the trimming operation was on a crane, leaning over the fence.
That does not make it OK for either side to start shooting and one wonders why the Lebanese would not also want the area cleared to prevent people sneaking into or out of Lebanon.

Assassins miss killing Iranian President

Iran's President has survived an assassination attempt by what appears to be an internal opposition group.
A bomb was thrown at his motorcade and damaged a car carrying journalists, injuring several.
No one else was injured and one person has been arrested.
Iran is blaming Israel, which is a joke.
Israel would have hired better help and we would have provided better training.
Better luck next time, I hope.

Update: Iran is now claiming it was just a firecracker.

Gaza wealth shows Liberal hypocrisy

When a truly objective "journalist" looks at Gaza, he sees that the "Elite" live in luxury and even pay lower prices for some goods than their neighbors in Egypt.
We only get to see the "mean streets" of Gaza and the poor (but not starving) "have nots" going about their lives or taking cover during gun battles.
What we don't see on the evening news is the spas, the luxury stores, the resorts and restaurants enjoyed by people working for "aid" organizations or Hamas and Hezbollah, or the people who own the smuggling tunnels used to bring in non-humanitarian supplies.(like rockets).

If people like Obama were true to their ideals of redistributing wealth they would be officially appalled at the disparity of wealth in Gaza.

Gaza "flotilla" turns back, MSM silent

From our friends at American Thinker, we learn that Libya tried running the Israeli blockade of Gaza and was turned back before they even came close.
This was an embarrassment for the left, the MSM, Hamas, Libya, and other bad actors in the region.
Which is why it will receive little or no coverage by the leftist press.

Iran weasels out of Gaza blockade run

Iran claims that Israel has "politicized" the Gaza "relief" ship issue to the point where helping run the blockade will only aid Israel.
Iran may likely have changed direction because of a letter sent by Israel to the UN security council stating that Iranian and Lebanese ships in the Gaza area will be considered and act of war.

What is up with Sir Elton?

Elton John just rocked Israel despite the trend of artists backing out of performances there after citing disagreement with Israeli policies.
He also performed at Rush Limbaugh's wedding, which must be causing the lefties' heads to spin (Barbra Streisand may never speak to him again).
Elton is an acknowledged spender who has run short of money several times, pressuring him to perform more; but these performances show that he may be throwing off the yoke of Liberal intolerance and bridging the chasms liberal stupidity has used to separate people that aren't really that far apart in their thinking.

Unbelievable! Saudi clearance for Israel to hit Iran

Saudi Arabia has tested its air defense response network to insure that Israeli planes can pass safely over their territory to attack Iranian nuclear sites.
The tests were to insure that systems and procedures would not scramble after Israeli jets after official clearance was given and the system was selectively shut down.
An American defense source claims the Saudis have provided permission and Saudi sources confirm that they basically will look the other way when Israel launches an attack.
It is common knowledge in defense circles that the Saudis, despite tensions with Israel, have no love for the Iranian regime and would shed no tears if their offensive capabilities are cut down to a more manageable size.

So much for the Gaza Diver's Club

The Israeli Navy gunned down four men dressed in diving gear off the coast of Gaza.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade acknowledged that men were part of their organization and were training.
The NY Times will. no doubt, will claim those poor Palestinians were trying to enjoy life like anyone with beach front real estate by taking up Scuba..

Obama administration and UN throw Israel under the bus

Israel is not only the only acknowledged nuclear power in the Middle East, it is the only government in the area that could be trusted to use such weapons only in an existential defense.
Now the US has voted with others in the UN to try to force Israel to disarm.
The UN resolution does not even mention Iran's nuclear program and attempts to make Israel sign onto the Non-Proliferation Treaty and is a 180 degree shift from the Bush administration's support for Israel's right to self defense.
Even leftist journalists in Israel see this move as a betrayal by the Obama administration and a slap in the face for all Jews.

Syria supplying missiles to Hezbollah

For those of you that were too busy living your lives, watching reality TV, or waiting for the next i-? from Apple; Hezbollah has been building up its weapons stocks for another devastating attack on Israel.
Syria is one of the major middlemen and supplier of heavier weapons (including missiles) to Hezbollah (they are still mad that Israel blew up their nuke facility).
Iran is the source for training and many of the weapons transshipped through Syria as well as many of the weapons used in Iraq by "insurgents".

Combine this with Obama's continued disrespect of Israeli leaders and attacks on their sovereignty and you can see a nasty summer coming for Israelis.
I wonder if Obama bowed to Assad when he met him?

Serious problem with Syria

It's not like we thought of Syria as friend, but now they are reported to have supplied Hezbollah with longer range, more accurate rockets.
Hmmm,,,I wonder which recently dissed (by our President) country they would be aimed at.

No worries though.
The US Congress might delay sending Robert Ford to Damascus to re-engage the country after pulling the previous representative.
That'll show 'em.
