Cell phones increase brain activity

Another day, another study.
A newly released study of the effect of cell phones on the brain indicates that areas near a cell phone that is on is increased.
This has lead to some speculating that proximity may lead to greater risk of cancer or other health issues.
Since members of my family have suffered from Alzheimer-like brain issues, I have another take on this study's results.:
I am going to stimulate the heck out my brain by getting one of these and strapping on a dozen cell phones.

Great news! Radiation detectors work!

Radioactive isotopes of Iodine are used to treat thyroid problems.
One side effect is that the patients are slightly radioactive and a possible danger to some of us because they secrete small amounts of the isotopes via sweat, saliva, and urine.
Another effect is that they set off the sensitive radiation detectors we use to protect out cities and transportation hubs.
I think we should try to see the good news in any bad news so my take on this story is that the detectors are working well and that is great news.
