Klamath Falls plans to let kids run wild (one day a week)

So there isn't enough money to babysit kids for the five days their parents have to work (in order to pay the teacher's and administration's salaries, etc.). This means the teachers and most staff would get a day off without pay, which 'concerns' the union. It seems one of the hurdles is the legal requirement that students spend so many hours in school (no matter the result). The proposal is supposedly under consideration although one of the commentors claims the 4 day week is already there.
