Republicans take a page from Dem play book

Republicans (led by Darrell Issa) are demanding a "slew" of documents relating to communication and meetings between the SEC and the administration. I expect to hear a lot of grousing from the Obama White House over this because it is so difficult for Democrats to do all the legwork of locating and providing documentation that they routinely demand of Republicans.

As Issa says: “[W]e are concerned that politics have unduly influenced the decision and timing of the commission’s controversial enforcement action against Goldman,”

And Rahm Emanuel responds: “[E]verybody at the White House found out like everybody else, when it hit the news. … Nobody at the White House knew anything ahead of anybody else. … I think what's more important is not this particular case or what SEC did. The need for this reform has existed for over a year.”

Sure Rahm. I believe you. And the moon is made of cheese.
